Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information that relates to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is processed. Processing includes any handling of personal data, regardless of the means and procedures used – particularly storing, disclosing, obtaining, deleting, saving, altering, destroying, and using such data.

The following data is collected through use of our application:

  • Body-specific measurement data (e.g., 3D scan, plantar pressure, leg axis)

  • Usage and configuration data (e.g., shoe type, purpose of use, personalization)

  • Contact and profile data (e.g., name, date of birth, email)

Purpose of processing:

  • Individual production of custom 3D-printed insoles

  • Generation of personal Foot Reports

  • Reorders, customer feedback, service

  • Quality assurance and internal system optimization

  • Anonymized use for research and development purposes (no personal identification possible)

Sensitive data:
Body-specific measurement data is considered sensitive under the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP) and will only be processed with your explicit consent.

Legal basis:
We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (revFADP). Where applicable, we also rely on the following legal grounds under Art. 6(1) of the GDPR:

  • a) Consent of the data subject

  • b) Fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures

  • c) Legal obligations

  • d) Protection of vital interests

  • f) Legitimate interests (e.g., product safety, customer support)

Consent

Your body-specific data will only be collected and processed with your explicit consent, which is obtained prior to the measurement process. Without this consent, the measurement cannot be conducted.

Research and Development

A portion of the collected measurement data may be used for scientific or technical research purposes. This is done exclusively in fully anonymized form, and no conclusions can be drawn about you personally. Even in cases of data sharing with partners, data protection regulations are strictly observed.

Data Retention

We store your personal and body-specific data for the duration of the customer or patient relationship – that is, as long as needed for production, reorders, support, quality assurance, or contractual purposes.
In addition, data may be retained for up to 10 years due to legal retention requirements (e.g., accounting, medical documentation). Once data is no longer needed, it will be deleted or anonymized for further use in research and development.

Data Disclosure and International Transfer

Personal data will not be sold or passed on for marketing purposes. Disclosure will only occur:

  • For the fulfillment of contracts (e.g., production, shipping, payment processing)

  • As required by law

  • To service providers under data protection agreements

If data is processed abroad (e.g., by cloud providers), we ensure an appropriate level of data protection in accordance with the revFADP.

Paid Services

For paid services (e.g., product orders), we additionally collect:

This data is used exclusively for contractual purposes and stored in compliance with legal requirements.
